Hi! We're Carolyn & Ceelyn Patterson.

We are a husband and wife artistic team, who happen to be the very best of friends! We are not only a team here at Catch Your Fire
Photography, but at all aspects in life. We go together like milk and cookies!

Carolyn found her passion for photography in August of 2019 when she bought her first Nikon camera. Shortly after, Catch Your Fire Photography was born!

FAQ

What is your edit style?

I can edit in just about any style you want! I don't like to box myself in. I like to edit each session in a style that is perfect for that session and lighting.

However, my typical go-to style is a rich & vibrant edit, with true to life colors, and a bit of a moody vibe. I often describe my style as bold, emotional, & colorful.

If you are looking for a specific edit style for your session, let's discuss!

How long does it take to receive my photos?

For portrait sessions I usually tell people 1-2 weeks on average, and for weddings 4-6 weeks on average. However, there are times when I have a heavy schedule or lots of back to back photo shoots. If I am super busy, I will let you know ahead of time and if you're on a tight deadline, please let me know ahead of time so we can discus expectations and turn around.

How will I receive my photos?

You will receive an online gallery link with all your edited photos. You can download your photos from the gallery, but also share them, choose your favorites, and even order prints!

We also offer USB Drives with your photos and a print release for $25 + $5 s&h if unable to meet for delivery.

What kind of gear do you use?

I am a firm believer that the gear doesn't make the photographer. However, if my gear interests you, I'd be happy to discuss it in detail with you.

We use Nikon cameras. We mainly shoot with two Nikon Z5's (full frame mirrorless). We also own two D5600's and a D3200 (crop-sensor DSLR's) that we always have on backup. We have an 18-55mm and 70-300mm lens, as well as a 50mm prime lens and a 28mm Z series prime lens. Hopefully some new lenses will be in our near future as well! We also have professional lighting and flashes. Location, time of day, weather, nor venue will prevent us from capturing amazing photos for you!

Please feel free to donate to gear upgrades by hiring us for all of your photography needs!

P.s. I use Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for most of our editing purposes.

Do you support diversity?

Of course we do!

It shouldn’t have to be said, but here it goes: I am happy to work with all races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, and people who originate from any country. If you look at my work you can see that I celebrate and welcome diversity. If you book me, and there is something that I need to know to show respect for you or your family and friends, please just let me know.

Peace and love.

Are you COVID safe?

Absolutely! We're proud to say that we have both had both rounds of our COVID-19 Pfizer vaccines, with booster shots, and are completely inoculated.

We're doing our part to protect our clients and our community by following a COVID-Safe plan in accordance with local, state, and federal mandates.

All meetings will be held over the phone, messenger or email, or via Skype/Zoom.

Maintaining social distance of 6ft (or more) whenever possible, and wearing a mask.

If I am not feeling well, I will self-isolate and your sessions will be rescheduled, or I will recommend a replacement photographer.

All equipment and props being used for a shoot are cleaned prior to being used and afterwards.

Clients/guests are not to handle any of the photographer's equipment- including loading in/out.

Photographers will no longer be able to assist in taking photos using another person/guests's camera/phone.

If I am confirmed to have COVID-19, I will isolate for a minimum of 14 days and any close contacts are to monitor for symptoms and seek medical advice.

If you are feeling unwell and have any flu-like symptoms please let me know, I kindly request that any photography sessions are postponed and I will be happy to rearrange any sessions booked.
